In observance of Labor Day, honored on the first Monday of September, the following businesses are closed for the federal holiday. So while most government offices and some businesses may close on this day, some do not.

  • Newtown Library: Closed 

Automotive

  • Department of Motor Vehicles: Closed Saturday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 2

Grocery/Restaurants/Speciality Stores

  • Burlap and Bean: Closed
