Marple Newtown Democrats Endorse Candidates for Primary Election

The Marple Newtown Democratic Committee has endorsed a slate of candidates - check out these well-qualified candidates whom you can support in the 2013 Primary and General Election.

With Spring on the horizon, another Pennsylvania Primary Election is in sight. On Tuesday, May 21, voters will go to the polls to nominate candidates for the General Election in November.

Last Wednesday, March 6, the Marple Newtown Democratic Committee endorsed the following well-qualified candidates for local elected offices in Marple and Newtown Townships. 

Marple 6th Ward Commissioner (Four year term): Charles Sammartino

Newtown Township Supervisor (2 positions open – 6 year terms): Tom Cobb and Ray Lopez 

Marple-Newtown School Board (4 positions open – 4 year terms):

Claude Falcone (Newtown Township resident)
Laura Wozniak (Newtown Township resident)
Patience Lehrman (Marple Township resident)
Ellen Trantas (Marple Township resident)

In addition to these local offices, the Marple Newtown Democratic Committee is supporting the following endorsed candidates for Delaware County and State elected offices:

Pennsylvania Superior Court: Judge Joe Waters (Philadelphia)

Delaware County Court of Common Pleas: Steve Chanenson, Esq. (Radnor) and Nancy Walker, Esq. (Nether Providence)

Delaware County Council: Bill Clinton (Upper Providence) and Patricia Worrell (Chester)

Sheriff: Rocco Polidoro (Springfield)

Register of Wills: Frank Daly, Esq. (Media)

Controller: David Boonin (Swarthmore)

Additional information on our slate of candidates will be posted in the near future. The 2013 Primary Election will be held on Tuesday May 21.
