When asked to state why she was running for the position of School Board Director, Laura said:

“To me there is nothing more important, or as rewarding, than having a positive impact on a child's life. I have spent the last 25 years serving children as a mother, teacher, coach and mentor. I have decided to run for Marple Newtown School Board so that I can contribute to the process that impacts the future of so many children's lives. Once I am elected I will strive to enhance communication with the community and will work to ensure that our schools are meeting the needs of each student.”
