AND THE POLES CAME TUMBLING DOWN

AND THE POLES CAME TUMBLING DOWN

On Saturday, July 20, at approximately 2:28 am a vehicle struck a telephone poll on Reed Road, Broomall. The impact not only brought down the pole that was struck but the weight of the wires pulled down a second pole bringing wires dangerously close to street level. Part of Reed Road was closed for approximately 16 hours.

Power was rerouted to reduce down time. At approximately 1:00 pm power was again shut down to facilitate removing and replacing the poles and wires. Power remained off until 7:00 pm when all work was completed and power restored.
