DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN

On Saturday, November 31, 1996 at 10:30 pm Firefighters were called out late that night to battle a blaze on Candlewood Road, Broomall. The house was fully involved when firefighters arrived. According to the then Fire Investigator Tom Murray, the fire occurred after embers from a pipe ignited a couch in the living room. One 23 year old firefighter was taken to Mercy Haverford Hospital and treated for smoke inhalation. The fire caused over $100,000.00 in damages.
