Trash Collection for New Year's Holiday
Some Marple Newtown Patch municipalities may see a trash collection change during the New Year's Day holiday.
Both Marple and Newtown township's municipal buildings will be closed for New Year's Day, Jan. 1.
Below is a trash and recyclable pick-up schedule for area municipalities over the New Year's holiday:
Marple Township—Administrative offices will be closed on Jan. 1. Trash collection schedules will not be affected as the holiday falls on a Wednesday. However, there will be no recycling collection on Wednesday and will instead be collected on Saturday, Jan. 4.

Newtown Township–Administrative offices will be closed on Jan. 1. Municipal trash removal is not provided by the township. Please check with your private collector. Recycling will not be affected as regular collection is on Thursdays.
