• Marple Newtown Board of School Directors voting meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 22
• Delaware County Access to Jobs Expo at Springfield Country Club on Oct. 24
• Newtown Township offices will open late, at 10:15 a.m. on Oct. 22, as all employees will be attending a mandatory training.
• Marple Township Zoning Hearing Board on Oct. 23
• Email class for adults from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 21 at Marple Township Library 
• PRC Newtown Square Farmers Market at Mostardi Nursey on Wednesday 
• Purchase the 2014 Free DVD/Videogame Rental Card on sale for $35 until Nov. 1 at Marple Library. Rent four FREE DVDS/videogames everytime you visit Marple Library in 2014 with this rental card. After Nov. 1, the card will cost $50.

• Newtown Township Environmental Advisory Commission at 7 p.m. on Oct. 23
• Two for Tuesday DVD rentals at Marple Library. Rent two DVDS for the price of one. Two new releases at $2.12, two older releases for $1.06 or one of each for $1.53. Children's DVDs are always free.
• Live a Healthy Life Workshop from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Surrey in Media. The workshop for adults with diabetes, cardiac or pulmonary disease, arthritis, anxiety or any other ongoing health condition can learn how to communicate effectively with doctors and family, eat well, relax, manage pain and gain control of your life. The free 6-week workshop for adults age 60 and older who live in Delaware County will be offered every Wednesday through Oct. 30.
