  • Marple Township Board of Commissioners meeting at 7 p.m. on Aug. 12. Along with other business items, the commissioners will consider a Salt Contract and the escrow release of Phase 1 of the Ravenscliff subdivision. Find the full agenda here
  • Newtown Township Board of Supervisors meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 12. Two public hearings will be held: A petition to rezone Dunwoody Campus from SU-1 Special Use District to CCRC Continuing Care Retirement Community District and a petition to rezone BPG/Equus Capital from SU-1 Special Use District to AO Apartment Office District.   • Newtown Township Zoning Hearing meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 15
  • The University of Pennsylvania will present "Architectural Treasures from the Keystone State" at 7 p.m. on Aug. 15 at the Marple Library. 
  • Newtown Library's Family Movie night at 7 p.m. on Aug. 14. No registration required. 
  • Free Movie Rental Fridays at Marple Township Library 
  • Red Cross Blood Drives: Knights of Columbus Newtown Square, at 327 Newtown Street Rd. from 2 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 14, Haverford Township Free Library from 1 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 12 and Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church in Glen Mills from 2 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 13. More information here
  • Two for Tuesday DVD rentals at Marple Library. Rent two DVDS for the price of one. Two new releases at $2.12, two older releases for $1.06 or one of each for $1.53. Children's DVDs are always free.
  • Marple and Newtown libraries are now closed on Sundays through August.
  • PRC Newtown Square Farmers Market at Mostardi Nursey on Wednesday 
  • Springfield Road in Springfield Township will be closed between Route 1 (State Road) and Old Marple Road on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through the end of August.
