Are you over the Holiday Hangover? Because there are lots of events happenings this weekend. It's a weekend full of community events. Take in an art exhibit, hang out with the Giggle Gang, eat some flapjacks for a good cause or take a babysitting course.

Giggle Gang
  • When: Thursday, Jan. 2 at 10:30 a.m.
  • Where: Springfield Mall, 1250 Baltimore Pike, Springfield
  • Why Go: Join Giggle Gang at Center Court for fun singing and dancing. Best for young children and parents.
  • Cost: Free
Safe Sitter Babysitting Program
  • When: Saturday, Jan. 4 at 9 a.m. 
  • Where: Delaware County Memorial Hospital, First Floor Meeting Room
  • Why Go: Learn the skills need to be the best babysitter around. 
  • Cost: Call 610-284-8158 to register.
Flapjack Fundraiser
  • When: Saturday, Jan. 4 at 8 a.m.
  • Where: Applebee's, Manoa Shopping Center, 1305 West Chester Pike, Havertown
  • Why Go:  Enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast at Applebee's with entertainment by the Upper Darby Summer Stage Shooting Stars. Proceeds benefit Upper Darby Shooting Stars. 
  • Cost: $7
"Abstraction" Exhibition
  • When: Sunday, Jan. 5 from 2 to 5 p.m.
  • Where: Community Arts Center, 414 Plush Mill Road, Wallingford
  • Why Go: The Studio opens an exhibition, "Abstraction," in the Duke Gallery which runs through Jan. 31. Tour all of the Arts Center’s 
    galleries and meet and greet the artists at the opening on Jan. 5. 
  • Cost: Free
PA Institute of Technology Open House, Scholarship Exam
  • When: Saturday, Jan. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Where: PA Institute of Technology, 800 Manchester Ave, Media
  • Why Go: Tour the campus and take the scholarship exam at 11 a.m.
  • Cost: Free
