Back to School Fest, Butterfly Festival Among Weekend Events [Get Out]
It's a busy week and weekend in and around Marple Newtown Patch. See what's going on.
There are lots of things happening this weekend. It's a weekend full of community events and animals. Admire the butterfly at the butterfly festival, check out the animals from the Elmwood Zoo on wheels or keep your own pets safe at the vaccine clinic.

- Why Go: Check out the local business expo offering children's sporting activities, lessons in arts and culture programs and tutoring services, while you visit with animals from the Philadelphia Zoo and enjoy a concert by Makin' Music. Then of course there's always Back to School shopping too.

- Where: Tavola Restaurant and Bar
- Why Go: Dinner, drinks and live music featuring Ben Singleton.
- When: Saturday, Aug. 24 at 10 a.m.
- Where: Tyler Arboretum
- Why Go: Say goodbye to the monarch butterflies as they are tagged and released for migration to Mexico. Discover bugs and learn how to make a worm compost. Experts will give tips on creating a butterfly friendly habitat in home gardens too.

- When: Saturday, Aug. 24 from 5 to 10 p.m.
- Where: Ridley Creek State Park, 281 W Bishop Hollow Rd, Media
- Why Go: At this community picnic and music event, everyone can be a creator of music. Please bring musical instruments or household items that you can use to make music. Or those clappers and tappers out there are also welcome musicians. Bring blankets or chairs to sit on, a dish to share, or any non-alcoholic drinks for yourself (water will be provided).

- Where: Granite Run Mall, Center Court
- Why Go: Check out this animal demonstration that will excite and entertain kids and families of all ages.

- Where: Penns Woods Winery, 124 Beaver Valley Road in Chadds Ford
- Why Go: Enjoy a 60 minute gentle yoga class with MERRYoga in the vineyard and follow it up with a food and wine pairing. Wear comfortable clothing, dress for the weather, and bring your yoga mat.

- When: Saturday, Aug. 24 at 10 a.m.
