The mother-son team of BethAnn and Marc Shay have operated American Karate Studios for 20 years, supporting the community through participation in events like Marple Pride Day, and providing exercise for seniors through Aegis. Marc is a 1990 graduate of Marple-Newtown High School. They are experienced working with children with autism and special needs. They offer classes for children and adults, focusing on building confidence and character to help kids succeed in school and life as well as in karate. The popular summer camps are a balance of karate and other activities.
