Michael Damroth, 87, of Newtown Square Michael was a World War II veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Elizabeth C. Stanton. After the war, he attended Philadelphia Military College, graduating with a degree in industrial engineering. He worked for Merck Pharmaceutical as a marketing research vice president. Raymond Gallo, 88, of West Chester and Broomall Ray served in the U.S. Navy as a member of the Underwater Demolition Team (UDT 14) in the South Pacific during World War II. He was awarded the Bronze Star, a Presidential Unit Citation and the Combat "V" for meritorious service in action in the Okinawa Operation, the Capture of Iwo Jima and the Lingayen Landings.
