Jewelry Stolen From Home (Again) on Warren Blvd.

A resident on Warren Blvd. in Broomall reported jewelry stolen from their home–the second time in a week.

BROOMALL–On Feb. 1 at approximately 1:10 p.m., Marple police responded to the 400 block of Warren Blvd. for a reported theft from a home. According to the report, this is the second time a theft from the home was reported. According to the report, one of the residents reported that at least four jewelry pieces were stolen from her bedroom. On Jan. 27, the resident’s mother reported a large amount of her jewelry missing from the master bedroom area of the home. According to the report, the only person who did not have jewelry missing is the resident’s sister. The following pieces of jewelry have been missing: white gold heart necklace; gold 22-inch chain necklace with a gold heart and a small pink rose embedded in the heart; gold class ring…

Newtown Township's recent charges include a DUI arrest on West Chester Pike, a grandfather who won't return his granddaughter back to her father and a brother who physically assaults his sister.

Police Stop Car For Blown Out Tire, Finds Driver Intoxicated On Dec. 10 around 2:18 a.m., Newtown Township Police observed Michael Penston Jr., 21, of Media, driving along West Chester Pike towards Newtown Street Road with a flat tire. Police followed Penston and activated their emergency signal lights and siren to warn him of a front flat tire. While doing so, police said, Penston began to drift over to the roadway center dividing line for a few hundred feet. Penston finally pulled into the shoulder lane on West Chester Pike and came to an abrupt stop just prior to the Winding Way pass, said police. Over $1,500 Stolen at Arby's Restaurant Marple Police reported to a discovered theft a little after 3:30 p.m. Dec. 12. Upon arrival, the on-duty manager told police he discovered the drop drawer of the restaurant's safe lying on the floor when he arrived at work that morning, said police. The manager told police the contents of the drop area of the safe had been removed, which contained four clear bags totaling to $1,583.65. Each bag contained a certain amount of money–$269.65; $247; $822; and $245, police said. According to police, the lock on the drop drawer of the safe was broken and the drawer did not properly fit in the top receptacle of the safe.
