The oldest son of Philadelphia Eagles Coach Andy Reid was found dead this morning in a dorm room at Lehigh University, where the team has summer training camp. Garrett Reid, 29, was found in his bed at the Sayre Park dorms following a struggle of almost 10 years with drug addiction and drug dealing. Reid was helping at camp with players' stength training and conditioning. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman made the announcement to reporters after the team's walk-through Sunday morning: "It is a tough morning for all of us in the Eagles family. Garrett grew up with this team, and that makes this news even harder for us to process. Our hearts go out to Andy, Tammy, Britt, Spencer, Crosby and Drew Ann. Coach has spent the morning …

Marine Sgt. Michael Stevens, a 2002 Marple Newtown High School graduate, supported JuniorRank Camp with several former Eagles players this past weekend.
PLYMOUTH MEETING–High school sports today are a 12-month commitment. In the past, summers were used by football players to workout, train, run, do a laundry list of things a coach set out for them to do. One of those outlets came to about 250 kids this past weekend at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, in a camp run by JuniorRank Sports. The three-day camp, run in conjunction with the U.S. Marine Corps, also attracted a number of high-profile former NFL players, including former Philadelphia Eagles Ron Jaworski, Mark McMillian, Byron Evans and Fred Barnett. The camp stressed excellence …

Still a hot topic with football fans, locals at The Ale House weigh in on Michael Vick's past and his current performance with the Eagles.
Newtown Square–No matter what opinion you might have on Michael Vick, a quick probing into the hearts and minds of local sports fans showed that it's still a hot topic and the person next to you is likely to have something different to say. Two questions were asked, "How did you feel when the Eagles first signed Vick?" and "How do you feel about him at the helm now with Eagles doing so well?" Both managed to start couples bickering and long-time friends arguing. The general consensus among the football fans at The Ale House in Newtown Square during Dec. 12th's game against the Dallas Cowboys showed that most people feel that Vick has already paid his dues to society. Vick's continued efforts in visiting schools and delivering messages …
