Marple Newtown High School was the site of a regional leadership conference for the Future Business Leaders of America.
NEWTOWN SQUARE–For the first time in its history, the Marple Newtown High School was the site for the regional leadership conference of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Marple Newtown High School hosted 450 students from 12 different schools, including Paxon Hollow Middle School, Chichester High School, Garnet Valley High School, Haverford High School, Interboro High School, Penn Wood High School, Penncrest High School, Radnor High School, Ridley High School, Springfield High School, Upper Darby High School, and E.T. Richardson Middle School. NEWTOWN SQUARE–Marple Newtown High School students recently received awards at the Future Business Leaders of America–Regional Leadership Conference at Penncrest High School. According to the school, the students studied of their own accord and competed against schools in the region's Central League schools, which has membership totals in the hundreds. Five Marple Newtown students have qualified for the Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference in Hershey, from April 16-18, 2012, of which there are over 13,500 members in Pennsylvania alone.
