Freddy's Steakburgers' Grand Opening Is Tuesday

A grand opening for the Kansas-based Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers located on Sproul Road in Broomall will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11.

BROOMALL–The long anticipation for the revealing of Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is over. A grand opening will be held Tuesday, officially welcoming the community into the new establishment. Freddy's, located at 2084 Sproul Road in Broomall, held a soft opening for friends and family on Monday. Buzzing with excitement, the crew at Freddy's were eager to serve on a rainy afternoon. Azie Southeast Opens in Newtown Square

The new Azie Southeast, formerly Sang Kee Noodle Bowl, has opened in Edgmont Square Shopping Center.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Azie Southeast has opened its doors in Edgmont Square Shopping Center in Newtown Square. The former Sang Kee Noodle Bowl has been revamped and the menu updated following the closing of Sang Kee in late August. The new menu offers small plates, Azie hoagies and, of course, Azie's signature fried rice. A few other menu items include: thai chicken wings, curry fries, pad thai, lo mein, wonton soup, filet tips and pork chops. A $10 lunch box is another option which includes a choice of soup, choice of chicken, filet tips, fish or tofu and rice and broccoli. (See the attached lunch menu). New Skin Care Center Opens in Broomall

LaserDerm Skin Care Center in Broomall held a grand opening on March 21.

BROOMALL–A new skin care center has hit the scene in Marple Township. LaserDerm Skin Care Center is a medical spa that's "built upon 25 years of experience in the medical laser field," according to their website. Though the medical spa has been open for a little over a month now, a grand opening was held on Wednesday, March 21, at the former Century 21 building and their new facility at 2660 West Chester Pike in Broomall. LaserDerm acquired the building around September and construction began soon after, lasting through December. Crowd Shows For Marple's New Walmart Opening

After a brief ribbon cutting ceremony, the store was open for business shortly after 7 a.m. Oct. 12.

SPRINGFIELD–Whether you like it or not, the Marple Walmart in Springfield is now open. A crowd of about 50 people waited in line just before dawn Oct. 12 in anticipation of its grand opening at the Marple Crossroads Shopping Center. After a brief ribbon cutting ceremony, the store was doing business shortly after 7 a.m. The national anthem played as employees ushered in the store’s first customers. Marines from the General Smedley D. Butler Detachment #741 presented the Marine Corps League Color Guard. If you walk through Walmart you will notice multiple Marple police officers, I counted 8 seperate officers the day after black friday. I asked the officer who it is that pays them, Walmart or the township. He said that they get paid by Walmart. I don't know how true that could be, is Walmart taking officers off of our streets?
