The Marple Newtown Football Boosters hosted the annual year-end banquet on Sunday at Rolling Green Golf Club. All members of the 2012 Tiger football team were honored, including the presentation of several awards.

Local Students Named To All-Delco Football

Several students from Marple Newtown High School, Episcopal Academy, and Delco Christian were named to this year's All-Delco Football Team.

EA Football Coach Fairlie Named Coach of The Year

Todd Fairlie, a Marple Newtown High School alum and the current head football coach for Episcopal Academy, was recently named as Delcofootball.com's Coach of the Year.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Todd Fairlie, a 2002 Marple Newtown High School graduate and current head football coach of the Episcopal Academy Churchmen, was recently named as Coach of the Year by delcofootball.com. A truly Cinderella story, Fairlie brought the Churchmen from a three-win squad to winning the Inter-Ac league championship, 10-0, according to Delcofootball.com. It’s the first time Episcopal Academy has had three-straight shutouts since 1963, and first time they started 3-0 since beginning 2008 with a 5-0 start, reported CBS Philly in September. Fairlie replaced Bill Gallagher as head football coach of Episcopal Academy, who resigned in November 2010 after six years at the Inter-Ac prep school. Fairlie was one of Gallagher's assistant …
