Overnight Lane Closure on I-476 In Marple In Week Ahead

PennDOT recently announced an overnight lane closure will occur from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., June 10-14, along Interstate 476 in Marple, Haverford and Radnor townships.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will replace worn bridge joints next week on northbound and southbound Interstate 476 between Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Marple, Haverford, and Radnor townships. During the operation, one lane will be closed on northbound and southbound I-476 on Sunday through Thursday (June 10-14) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather. The work is part of PennDOT’s $4,142,600 project to repair and replace bridge joints on various highways in the Philadelphia region. A.P. Lane Closure Scheduled on Rt. 1 North Ramp to I-476 North in Marple Township

PennDOT announced the lane closure will last through Friday, Feb. 17.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) recently announced that one lane will be closed on the northbound Route 1 ramp to northbound Interstate 476 in Marple Township. According to PennDOT, the lane closure will be in effect through Friday, Feb. 17. Repairs will be made during this time for slope wall repair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to PennDOT. PennDOT encourages commuters and drivers to allow extra time when traveling through the area. The work will be complete by PennDOT Delaware County maintenance employees, according to PennDOT. PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major highways before heading out.

Lane Closure, Traffic Delays Off of Interstate-476 Cleared

A reported one-vehicle car crash off of the southbound side of I-476 just before the Broomall exit had caused some traffic delays and a lane restriction on April 4 around 10:50 a.m.

BROOMALL–Just before 10:50 a.m. Monday morning, a one-car crash has been reported off of Interstate-476 south just before exit 9 in Marple Township. Those heading south on I-476 may have seen some traffic delays around the southbound exit as a lane closure was alerted by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) 511PA traffic department around 10:50 a.m. As of 11:25 a.m., PennDOT has announced the incident has been cleared from the area and the lane closure in the southbound lanes of I-476 reopened. According to Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks, only one vehicle has been reported and they are currently on scene investigating the crash. One injury has been reported but police have yet to confirm the details of this report.
