Negotiations Halted With Medical Center to Take Over Old Pathmark Plot
Original talks between National Realty Corp. and Crozer-Keystone Health System have dissipated.
Broomall–The vacant site of the old Pathmark on Lawrence Road has been on the minds of many residents since the supermarket officially closed its doors in early October of this year. However, township officials have stated negotiations between leading healthcare provider for the county Crozer-Keystone Health System and the DeBotton family of National Realty Corp., owners of the site, have been underway since then until now. At a Marple Board of Commissioners work session meeting earlier this month, Jim Balk (D-3rd District), the representative for the ward of the former Pathmark site, announced negotiations were "on thin ice."
