Partridge Fills Slawter's Supervisor Seat, Resigns From School Board

Edward Partridge was sworn in on May 23 to fulfill the late Parris "Bob" Slawter's seat on the Newtown Board of Supervisors.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Recently elected GOP pick Edward Partridge was sworn in on Monday's Newtown Board of Supervisors meeting as the appointed board member to fill the vacant spot of the late Supervisor Parris "Bob" Slawter's seat on the board. Partridge was sworn in by Magisterial District Judge Leon Hunter III. Partridge was accompanied with wife Marie Therese by his side during the ceremony. "I'd like to thank the board and the public for their confidence in me," addressed Partridge before the public. "I won't let you down." Slawter's seat has been empty since his recent passing on April 11 of this year. At the last informal meeting on May 9, nine candidates had submitted their names in the running to fulfill the spot on the board. …
