Newtown Square Man Arrested in Nationwide Child Porn Bust
Hundreds of people, including a Newtown Square man, have been arrested across the country as part of Operation Sunflower.
A Newtown Square man is among hundreds arrested in a nationwide child porn investigation called Operation Sunflower, reports 6Abc. Scotty Richmond, of Newtown Square, was among the 15 in the Pennsylvania and Delaware area involved in the sexual exploitation of 123 children, according to 6Abc. According to 6Abc, among the more than 120 victims rescued, five were from the region. The missioin of Operation Sunflower was to identify and rescue victims of child pornography, where a majority of children are being abused by a loved one, said Special Agent John Kellaghan of the Department of Homeland Security.
