PTC: Turnpike Is Ready for Holiday Traffic, Weather
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission recommends motorists download its smartphone app, TripTalk, to receive real-time, GPS-based audio updates about hazardous weather and road conditions.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike reassures travelers that it is ready to handle the increased traffic that’s expected and confront any wintry weather that may occur during the holiday period. Turnpike officials expect more than 4.1 million vehicles will travel the Turnpike from Monday, Dec. 24 through Tuesday, Jan. 1 with the heaviest traffic period being Christmas Eve through Christmas Day. "Regardless of what weather lies ahead, the Pennsylvania Turnpike is prepared to provide the highest level of service and the safest possible roadway," said Turnpike acting CEO Craig Shuey. In reference to your stand your ground comment, if someone shot the person that looked like a star of the movie airing we would not be reading the depressing news of colorado daily when we log our internet on, plus 12 people would be here still enjoying life and the few dozen would not be in the hospital recovering, like they are.   more ›
