Broomall Saladworks: No Plans To Close Restaurant

The Saladworks in the Lawrence Park Shopping Center isn't closing its doors to their customers but may be moving to a different location in Broomall.

BROOMALL–Last month, the Marple Township Zoning Hearing Board approved Qdoba Mexican Grill's request to place a second restaurant sign at the current location of Saladworks in the Lawrence Park Shopping Center. Qdoba requested a variance to place a second sign on the side wall of the building with the main sign on the front of the building. However, Marple officials told Marple Newtown Patch that no applications or permits were received at that time for a business license. In addition, a representative from the Lawrence Park Shopping Center development company also said no official "Coming Soon" announcement has been made on Qdoba coming in.  To make matters more confusing, it was undetermined whether or not that meant Saladworks would be …

Thank you Patch for the follow up. That is real reporting. I love Saladworks and its Tivoli salad. I also love Qdoba and their burritos. Having both in LP Center will be great, and save me a ride to Bryn Mawr or West Chester for a steak queso burrito. I sure wish Newtown Square would wake up and nail down some of these excellent chain food services.   more ›

BROOMALL–Even though the Marple Township Zoning Hearing Board recently gave the okay to Qdoba Mexican Grill's request to place a second restaurant sign at the current location of Saladworks in the Lawrence Park Shopping Center, no official word has been given on whether or not the Mexican restaurant will indeed be taking over Saladworks' lease. Qdoba requested a variance to place a second sign on the side wall of the building, while the main sign on the front of the building.  "The restaurant will install matching signs with channel lettering, each measuring 40.5 square feet, on the front and side façades. A three-foot square logo will also be mounted in the window and a double-faced sign placed under the walkway canopy," reports The Delco…

We have Mesa Fresh Mexican Grill in Marple Crossing shopping center. The food is fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced. Technically it is in Springfield, but it's right on the border. I have consistently gotten better salads at Saladworks than Panera Bread. Saladworks' balsamic vinaigrette is awesome. I really hope Saladworks stays.   more ›

They obviously are not talking about the Lawrence Park Store! I used to go into the store around 7:00 - 7:30 and the employees were already obviously anxious for closing. While people were eating, they would stack the chairs at all the empty tables and roll up the dusty runners at the door. On my last visit, the MANAGER actually mopped the floor with some kind of disinfectant that permeated the …   more ›
