RESCHEDULED: MNBA Coaches Vs. Cancer

The annual MNBA Night will be rescheduled to Monday, Jan. 28th, at 3:30 p.m. due to the inclement weather on Friday.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–The Marple Newtown High School basketball games  for theCoaches Vs. Cancer Night, MNBA Night, and Senior Night will be rescheduled to Monday, January 28th due to the impending inclement weather on Friday, Jan. 25. There will also be special presentations made to football coach Ray Gionta prior to the boys game and the school will be honoring four of their girls players for having achieved All Central in the fall season. Marple Newtown Boys Lacrosse Celebrate Seniors

NEWTOWN SQUARE–At a recent memorable home game, where the Marple Newtown Tigers shut out Upper Darby in a 16-5 victory, seniors on the team were celebrated by parents, fans and teammates. Here is a list of the eight seniors and their plans for next fall:

Tigers Lacrosse Make Senior Night a Win to Remember

Fueled by a second quarter explosion and a hat trick of hat tricks, Marple Newtown sails to a memorable 16-5 victory over Upper Darby May 10.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Tuesday night began with Marple Newtown honoring its eight seniors at center field, and it ended in a victory the seniors can be proud of as their final high school season approaches its end. After the seniors were joined by their parents and recognized one at a time, the game kicked off at a healthy pace with both teams knocking each other around and keeping each other off of the scoreboard. At 8:29 in the first quarter, senior attacker Teddy Oleynick broke the stalemate for his first goal of the game. It looked as though the Royals were about to tie it with the Tigers serving an illegal body check penalty, but senior goaltender Chris Massey made a terrific pointblank save.
