Send a Singing Gram To Your Loved One This Valentine's Day

The Delaware County Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, The DelChordians, will offer Valentine's Day live singing quartet requests from Feb. 9-17 to homes, work places, restaurants, and hospitals around the Marple Newtown area.

BROOMALL–Want to send that extra-special someone a gift that they'll remember forever? How about sending them a singing quartet for Valentine's Day this year? The DelChoridans–Delaware County Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society–is an all-male, 15-member a capella singing group consisting of various quartets. Each year during the Valentine season, the DelChordians perform special requests from residents in the Marple Newtown Patch area and beyond. The DelChordians will send off quartets to homes, work places, restaurants, hospitals and any place you can think of within a 15-mile radius from St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Broomall. Cuts To Funds Has Broomall Food Bank in Need

St. Mark's United Methodist Church's Food Bank is looking for donations year-round.

BROOMALL–With the holiday season kicked up in full gear, many may remember to give back and to help local shelters or to those in need. But the need is year-round.  "Wonderful people like to give during this year but we need food year-round," said Maria Kollar, director of St. Mark's United Methodist Church Food Bank in Broomall. And the need is dire more so this year than any other year. According to Kollar, the state has cut funding to the local shelters and reallocated that money to administration.
