MNHS Hosts 450 Students For Business Leaders Conference

Marple Newtown High School was the site of a regional leadership conference for the Future Business Leaders of America.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–For the first time in its history, the Marple Newtown High School was the site for the regional leadership conference of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).  Marple Newtown High School hosted 450 students from 12 different schools, including Paxon Hollow Middle School, Chichester High School, Garnet Valley High School, Haverford High School, Interboro High School, Penn Wood High School, Penncrest High School, Radnor High School, Ridley High School, Springfield High School, Upper Darby High School, and E.T. Richardson Middle School. Two MNHS Students Place Top 10 in State Business Competition

Marple Newtown High School students participate in the Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference in April.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–It was a successful trip for Marple Newtown High School students at the Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference in Hershey, PA. For the first time ever, the school had two students place in the top 10 at the state competition. There were 3,700 students from all across the state competing in numerous events. Sohyeon Park placed 6th out of 91 participants in her competitive event of Hospitality Management and Wesley Wasserman placed 3rd in an open competitive event for Digital Tools. An open event is for anyone already qualified for the State Leadership Conference in another event, in which they can take as many tests in about two hours as they want.

MNHS Students Qualify for Future Business Leadership State Conference

Five students from Marple Newtown High School will be going to Hershey, PA, for the Future Business Leadership State Conference in April.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Marple Newtown High School students recently received awards at the Future Business Leaders of America–Regional Leadership Conference at Penncrest High School. According to the school, the students studied of their own accord and competed against schools in the region's Central League schools, which has membership totals in the hundreds. Five Marple Newtown students have qualified for the Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference in Hershey, from April 16-18, 2012, of which there are over 13,500 members in Pennsylvania alone. Marple Newtown Future Business Leaders of America Students Receive High Honors

Two Marple Newtown High School students receive National Business Honor Society honors.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Two recipients Jasminder Kaur and Wesley Wasserman of Marple Newtown High School recently received  National Business Honor Society honors. The National Business Honor Society is a Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter, which is designed to recognize those members of the FBLA who excel in academic preparation and an eventual career in the business world. According to the FBLA, FBLA chapters in Pennsylvania are encouraged to nominate members to be recognized in the National Business Honor Society who have received an overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and who have received at least a 3.5 in business, computer, and information technology courses with a minimum of two completed …
