Prom proposals at Marple Newtown High School seem to be the new thing. Prom is still a few months away but performing a song at the Spring Concert or the Panera Bread have been the top Prom proposals for 2013, so far. What will the seniors do next? A Marple Newtown High School senior surprised his girlfriend during the school's Spring Band/Choir Concert.
The creativity of prom proposals continue for Marple Newtown High School students. With flowers in hand, senior Vincent Raspa popped the prom question to his girlfriend senior Bianca Mesoraca at the school's Spring Band/Choir Concert on Tuesday, along with the accompaniment of his friends and fellow choir members. Raspa created his own lyrics to the song "Marry You" by Bruno Mars, and asked his girlfriend of six months to Prom. The couple are both in the school's choir and the acapella group, The Marple Newtones. Jessica Raspa, Vincent's sister who filmed the Prom proposal, says her brother had been planning the big event for more than a month. BROOMALL–It appears as though the students at Marple Newtown High School are getting more creative each year as prom time rolls around. You remember last year's sweet viral video of then Marple Newtown senior Wil Kauffman, who surprised his girlfriend during AP Physics class with a song and dance prom proposal. But, this year, Marple Newtown senior Evan Ronen recently surprised his friend Lauren Thomas, who was dining with Morgan Constantino, at Panera Bread with his own surprise prom proposal. NEWTOWN SQUARE–Who knew Marple Newtown High School senior's surprise prom proposal would go viral on YouTube? The senior's prom proposal was also picked up by local radio station B101. The radio station's morning crew interviews high school senior Wil Kaufman about how the prom proposal went down. Tiffany Hill and Michael Chew of the B101 morning crew described Kaufman's prom proposal as "very impressive." When asked if he was nervous about the proposal, Kaufman said, "Not really." Kaufman, who isn't shy with the camera, has had his share of the limelight. Kaufman is a member of the Marple Newtown Drama Department and performs regularly for the school's musicals.
