Blotter: Attempted Strong-Arm Robbery at Pepperidge Farms

BROOMALL–On Jan. 15 at approximately 11 a.m., Marple police responded to the Pepperidge Farms store on Sproul Road for an attempted strong-arm robbery. While en route to the store, police were informed that the alleged robber was a woman wearing a dark red hooded sweatshirt with no weapon implied. According to the report, the woman was last seen leaving the parking lot toward Cedar Grove Road in a maroon sedan. Upon arrival, police met with the employee who stated that the woman had entered the store, took two bags of baby cheddar goldfish off of the shelf and approached the cash register, according to the report.
