The Robbins are Marple Newtown Patch's Cutest Couple

Mel and June Robbins have been voted Marple Newtown Patch's Cutest Couple after a weekend of voting.

Melvin and June Robbins have been married for 65 years. According to their photo caption, Melvin and June were high school sweethearts and waited for one another throughout WWII, after which they were reunited.

They got married and now have seven children, 18 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. They've been residents of Broomall for over 56 years and are still very much in love with each other.

Another photo of the Robbins shows them at their 65th wedding anniversary.

It also appeared that others in the Marple Newtown area couldn't resist voting for this cute couple. 

Commenter Andrew wrote: "I was told to vote for another couple, but after seeing Mel & June how could you resist. When I grow up I want to be Melvin."

And another from Steve Gamble commented: "Has to be couple #5 [Melvin and June Robbins]. They sure look like they are in love and continue to remain active. Celebrating Age!"

A friend of the couple, Nancy, also commented: "#5 Mel & June - No contest - I've known them for 54 years and have never met another couple so full of love for each other."
