American Red Cross Needs Your Help

A list of February blood donation collections.

The winter months can be a challenging time for blood collections but the need for blood remains constant, according to the American Red Cross.

The American Red Cross is asking for your support this winter in donating blood.

Local blood donors are needed year round to ensure the blood supply stays strong since about every two seconds a patient in the United States needs blood, according to the American Red Cross.

This Valentine's Day show your love by giving the gift of life at the blood drive at Newtown Township, 209 Bishop Hollow Road, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 14.

Later in the month, Knights of Columbus, 327 Newtown Street Rd., Newtown Square, will hold its blood drive 2 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 27.
