Trash Collection for Thanksgiving
Marple and Newtown will see a trash collection change during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Both Marple and Newtown municipal buildings will be closed on Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving.
Below is a trash and recyclable pick-up schedule for area municipalities over Thanksgiving. Check here for your leaf collection schedule.
Marple Township—Administrative offices will be closed both Thursday and Friday. Trash and leaves will not be collected on both of these days. Residents on a Monday and Thursday schedule will only have trash collected on Monday this week. Residents on a Tuesday and Friday schedule will only have trash collected on Tuesday this week. Recycling should not be affected as collection is on Wednesdays.

Newtown Township—Administrative offices will be closed both Thursday and Friday. Municipal trash removal is not provided by the township. Please check with your private collector. Recycling, which was scheduled to be collected on Thursday, will instead be collected on Friday.
