What's Closed Over Thanksgiving Holiday

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, all government buildings will be closed both Thursday and Friday but some local businesses will be open or offer limited hours.

Check here to see if you will also have a trash collection change over the holiday.

• Newtown Township Building: Closed Thursday and Friday

• Department of Motor Vehicles: Closed Thursday and Friday

• Marple Public Library: Closed Thursday, Open Friday
• Newtown Public Library: Closed Thursday, Open Friday

Beer and Liquor Stores

• Newtown Square Beverage: Closed at 6 p.m. Thursday, Open Friday
  
• Broomall Beverage: Closed at noon Thursday, Open Friday 
• Wine & Spirits: Closed Thursday, Open Friday

Banks

• Most bank branches are closed Thursday and open Friday

Grocery and Convenience Stores

• ACME: Open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Open Friday
• Giant: Open 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Open Friday
• Gentile's: Closed Thursday, Open Friday
